Things to See & Do

Mohegan Bluffs Trail

It’s a bit of a climb to get there with 141 steps leading down to the sandy beach, but the payoff is spectacular. Your lookout sits on clay cliffs that offer one of the most dramatic views of the Atlantic in RI, and a vista that extends all the way to Montauk.

North Light House & Southeast Lighthouse

For anyone who ventures to the Southeast Lighthouse – there is a food truck serving one of the best lobster rolls on the island!

Fishing Charters

If you have a fisherman in the group, check out the charter options here for local catch!

Bike Rentals

One of the best ways to see the island if you don’t have a car!

Places to Eat & Drink

Our favorite locations for BI's famous Mudslides:

Reed - The Oar

Sawyer - Tres Gatitos

Notable Mentions - Mahogany Shoals, The Mohegan, Champlin's

Additional Food & Drink:

Champlin’s

Block Island Beach House

Ernie’s Breakfast

Ellen’s At The Airport

Persephone’s Kitchen

Old Post Office Bagel Shop

TAXI

Block Island does not have rideshare apps, so taxis are the best way to get around! Since it is such a small island, if you call and request a ride from one of these services, they will connect with the other drivers on the island to get you the fastest ride, so don’t be alarmed if it’s a different taxi service than the number you called!

As a reminder – most taxis are CASH only.
